ShiningBits is founded on the principle of providing safe, dignified, and accessible remote computer education. We respect the personal privacy of all our learners, especially students studying from home, women learners, busy working professionals, and those in sensitive career roles. We do not sell, rent, or monetize personal student information to third parties.
2. Information We Collect
To provide cohort-based learning, generate unique identity credentials, and deliver video content, we collect:
- Account Credentials: Full name, email address, and an encrypted password hash (passwords are never stored in plaintext).
- Academic Identification: Assigned Cohort Batch ID (e.g.
BATCH-SEP26) and unique Student ID (e.g.STU-2026-XXXX). - Course Progression: Approval timestamp, sessions completed, milestone achievements, and drip unlock timestamps.
- Technical Telemetry: Minimal network logs maintained strictly for cybersecurity and platform uptime.
3. How Information Is Processed & Secured
All backend systems are hosted on secure, high-speed encrypted cloud infrastructure. User sessions are cryptographically signed and stored in secure, encrypted HTTP cookies with strict access controls.
4. Zero Third-Party Advertising
Our private classroom player is built to provide an uninterrupted learning environment. We do not display third-party advertisements or sell your learning habits to ad networks.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
Students may request complete deletion of their account records and academic progress at any time by contacting support at privacy@shiningbits.com. Deletion requests are processed in compliance with data privacy protocols within 14 business days.
